At seventeen,is itr possible to persue a carrer in ballet though your not yet en point?
i have danced since i was 3 years old, taking ballet, jazz, tap, and acrobatics. i had to quit at age 11 due to financial and personal problems. when i was 14,i begain attending ballet memphis, and they placed me in a beginners class! they were supposed to move me onto my appropriate level but never di,so the next fall,i was only placed in tech 4...where we were only learning beginning steps to ballet. i later moved here to pensacola florida, where the only studio i could afford was a recreational dance studio, where i was supposed to go up en pointe but never did because i couldnt affored shoes. i am now seventeen years old and it breaks my heart every day and night that i may never get to do what i feel i was put on this earth to do,and that is dance. what i was wondering,is if there is anyone out there who can answer my question honestly, now im a very good dancer but not nearly as trained as i should be. now,is it possible at all for me to persue a carrer as a professional in a company? i am a perfectionist when it comes to my art,and i am hell-bent on being a dancer. i need advice obviously
