Where are good places to go while I am in North Fort Myers Florida?

I plan on visiting July 30 to August 6 this year. I will be staying in North Ft Myers and am looking to make up a sort of itinerary. I am a single 30 year old woman bringing along another single woman. We are interested in eating out, night life, any entertainment really. I do want to go to the Keys for a night or two. Which do you recommend? And what else can I do near Ft Myers? Thanks!
