PLEASE HELP ME! Florida Academic Scholars Award help ( simple questions)?

What do you get awarded if you win? A scholarship for college? Can a girl who just finished eighth grade apply? Just because you did community service and applied/ filled out the application doesn't mean you get the award, right? Thank you for your time.
