Road trip foods...What to do about sandwiches?

I would make them tomorrow but not absolutely necessary. Just package each sandwich in its own plastic bag. Put the tomatoes and lettuce in theirs. Be sure to keep everything cold...especially condiments. And put everything in a cooler to travel. My sister used to make the ground ham, cream cheese and pineapple sandwiches way before the party and just cover the great stack of them with plastic wrap and put them in the fridge. Excellent any time. Do what makes the trip better for you. I hate to get up early.
