What Documents do I need to file for small claims?

I filed a small claims case against my ex-landlord for money owed from out deposit I was wondering if I have to file all my supporting documents/evidence for my case attached to a declaration a few days before court or if I just bring multiple copies to court for the judge and plaintiff. The small claims book that the clerk's office gave me doesn't specify - it just says to bring multiple copies for the judge and plaintiff. By evidence/supporting documents - I mean receipts, check lists, etc. given to me by the ex-landlord.
