What is wrong with my parents?

i get what you mean. im 14 and my parents smother me alot. but right now its the opposite. i have NO friends at the moment (all on vacation) and everyone in my town are a bunch of ghetto fools. but enough about me. you're only in 8th grade. things will get more lively and fun in high school. when your parents recognize that you're in high school they'll give you more freedom. hang in there. in the meanwhile, make bargins with them. you could set up deals like you'll wash the car if you can go to a party or something. and also space out meeting times with your friends. if you're constantly out your parents are going to be on your back more than ever.
