Why doesn't the Florida court think the Casey Anthony family has suffered enough?

Why are they putting Cindy Anthony through using her to try to execute her daughter after the grand daughter is dead. It looks as if they are trying to execute the whole family by sending them off a cliff. Like putting them on a roller coaster and see if they have heart attacks. Shouldn't Florida dismiss the death penalty charge in this case?
